Ogemaw County has 2 opportunity zones. The Opportunity Zone program is designed to incentivize patient capital investments in low-income communities nationwide that have been cut off from capital and experienced a lack of business growth. There are three types of tax incentives that relate to the treatment of capital gains, each of the incentives are connected to the longevity of an investor’s stake in a qualified Opportunity Fund that provides the most upside to those who hold their investment for 10 years or more.
We serve job seekers, employers and community partners in Arenac, Clare, Gladwin, Iosco, Ogemaw, and Roscommon counties with our workforce expertise and resources.
Each year we provide employment and training services to a large portion of the region’s workforce to ensure it meets the needs of area employers.
At the same time, employers turn to us for help to recruit, hire, and retain qualified workers.
